Black cocktail dress and fishnet veil worn by Lily Collins channel Audrey Hepburn

A style icon of Old Hollywood is honoured in Lily Collins’ most recent appearance.

The Emily in Paris actress walked out in New York City wearing a chic all-black ensemble that appeared to have been taken directly from Audrey Hepburn’s closet this week before she appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Collins wore a dark-colored, strapless, midi dress with a sheer black lace overlay that was fastened at the waist by a slender leather belt. She layered with a light duster coat, keeping herself warm. Her elegant look was completed by black opaque tights, patent leather Christian Louboutin pumps, a black Cartier handbag, a beaded diamond Cartier necklace, and a short fishnet veil.

With her bangs subtly combed to one side of her forehead, the actress’s hair even resembled Hepburn’s. Collins chose a lip tint and eye shadow in the colour fuchsia for her cosmetics.
Emily in Paris, Collins’ popular Netflix series, is currently in its third season, and she has been busy promoting it. The actress wore a tawny brown dress by Saint Laurent to the world premiere in Paris, which featured ruching elements and triangle belly cuts.
Collins has mentioned the possibility of the show becoming viral in the past.

“After reading the screenplay, I was prepared to put up a struggle to even enter the room where the audition would take place. I read the pilot, which was the first two episodes combined. Everything about it intrigued me, including the fact that it was a Darren Star production, that it was entirely set in Paris and the first American television programme to do so, that I’ve always wanted to play a romantic comedy role, and that it was based entirely there “She revealed to Harper’s Bazaar. “When it comes to my roles, I do tend to gravitate for slightly darker, more sensitive, and more difficult to talk about subjects. Some type of levity, a romantic comedy of some sort, was just what I was needing.”
